Borehole Geophysics
Video Well Monitoring

THG has a wide range of geophysical equipment and expertise available to collect and interpret downhole geophysical data. THG continually upgrades geophysical equipment and computer hardware and software to keep up with the advances in geophysical techniques. Currently, THG has an extensive suite of slim-line downhole geophysical capabilities, to interface with portable logging equipment, including:

  • Acoustic Televiewer
  • Optical Televiewer
  • Natural Gamma
  • Fluid Resistivity
  • Caliper
  • Fluid Temperature
  • Deviation
  • Heat Pulse
  • Flux-Gate Magnetometer
  • Color Video Camera
  • Spontaneous Potential
  • Single Point Resistance

Therefore, we can access piezometers, monitoring wells, and test borings that are located in areas that are inaccessible to traditional logging vehicles. THG also has downhole seismic capabilities as discussed under the Engineering Geophysics page.
